The DHS PTSA is committed to helping school faculty and staff make Decatur High the best high school in the US! It will take lots of work, so please join in and help. Let any of this year’s officers or committee members know how you can lend a hand.

Here are just a few activities and events the PTSA supports:

  • Academic recognition programs for students at all levels, including an annual Academic Achievement Banquet for honor roll students and “Big Dog” luncheons for students who have shown outstanding dedication and persistence
  • Cultural arts programming, such as visiting artists, special events, and enhanced materials for student arts activities
  • Mini-grants for clubs and staff
  • Teacher appreciation events
  • Buildings and grounds beautification
  • Investments in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) area
  • A highly popular printed DHS Student Directory
  • Educational programs specifically designed for parents of teenagers

To find out how you can get involved – in big or small ways – visit our Volunteer page. We look forward to your participation.
